Questions?
I’ve got answers.
At least about design. Everything else is a toss-up. Here are a few things you might want to know before we work together, hire me, or go down a creative rabbit hole together.
Working With Me
-
Usually! My availability depends on the size of the project and what else I have going on.
The easiest way to find out is to get in touch and tell me what you’re thinking.
-
Yep! I’m open to the right opportunity.
I’m especially interested in roles where I can work across disciplines, contribute ideas, collaborate with other creative people, and be involved in more than just the final execution.
-
Collaborative, curious, and pretty straightforward.
I ask questions. I like sharing the reasoning behind my decisions. I’m comfortable talking directly with clients and teams, presenting ideas, taking feedback, and working through the inevitable “hmmm... something isn't quite right” stage.
I take the work seriously.
The process doesn't have to be miserable.
What I Can Do
-
A little bit of everything — hence the whole multidisciplinary designer thing.
My work includes branding and visual identity, web and UX, print, packaging, illustration, motion, digital design, environmental graphics, and the occasional project that refuses to fit into a category.
-
The ones with something to figure out.
I love projects where I can get involved early, ask questions, explore a few directions, and find the idea that makes everything else click.
That could turn into a brand identity, a website, an illustration, or something completely unexpected.
-
Both.
I design websites with UX, responsiveness, accessibility, and the actual humans using them in mind. I also have hands-on experience building and managing sites in Squarespace, Shopify, and WordPress, along with Wix and Square.
I’m comfortable with the less-pretty stuff too. Hosting, domains, maintenance, and figuring out why something suddenly decided not to work.
-
My usual suspects are Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, Adobe XD, Premiere Pro, and Procreate.
For web, I’ve worked with Squarespace, Shopify, WordPress, Wix, and Square.
But I’m not particularly precious about software. If a project needs something I haven't used before, I’m pretty comfortable clicking around until I figure it out.
My Approach
-
Very much.
I believe the internet should actually work for the people using it.
I consider things like color contrast, legibility, hierarchy, and usability throughout my design process rather than treating accessibility as a box to check at the very end.
-
Absolutely. Not everything needs a rebrand.
I’m comfortable stepping into an established visual system, learning how it works, and creating something that feels like it has always belonged there.
-
Only if you ask nicely. Kidding. Mostly.
I like pushing a visual system and finding ways to keep it interesting, but there's a difference between breaking a rule intentionally and ignoring one because it's inconvenient.
If I think there's a good reason to challenge something, I'll probably bring it up. Otherwise, I know how to behave.
Got Something In Mind?
-
Perfectly normal.
You don't need to know whether you need a “visual identity system” or a “responsive UX redesign” before talking to me.
Tell me what you're trying to accomplish, what's bothering you, or what idea has been bouncing around in your head.
We’ll figure out what to call it later.
-
Nope.
I've worked across very different industries, and I actually like it that way.
Learning about a business I know absolutely nothing about is part of the fun. My job isn't to make every industry look the same. It's to figure out what makes this business interesting and build from there.
-
Please do.
If you're about to send me a message that starts with “I don't know if this is something you do, but...” I already want to hear the rest.
Still got a question?
Excellent. You’ve found one I didn't anticipate.
Send it my way, or tell me about what you're working on while you're at it.
