Juliette Skin Rituals
Created at Blackbird Digital
Julietè Skin Rituals is a luxury skincare line built around small batch, botanical formulas, including waterless balms and serums. Melissa wanted the products to feel elevated enough to reflect their quality while still feeling clean, natural, and approachable.
When the project began, several of the products were still being finalized. Before I could design the packaging, I needed to understand exactly what each product was and organize the information that would eventually live both on the packaging and online. I created a source of truth for myself and Blackbird Digital’s web developer, keeping product names, sizes, ingredients, directions, benefits, and other details consistent as everything developed.
I also worked with Melissa to identify what made her formulas different and which qualities were most important to communicate. From there, I researched skincare packaging and the information customers actually look for when deciding between products. This helped determine what deserved emphasis and what could be simplified rather than trying to fit everything onto the package.
Creating the Packaging System
The Day Balm was the starting point for the visual system. I wanted the packaging to have the clarity and simplicity often found in dermatological skincare while still fitting Julietè's more natural, luxury positioning.
I focused on clear hierarchy, consistent typography, and an overall structure that could work across different products and packaging formats. Color coding became an important part of the system, giving each product an immediate visual identifier while keeping the collection cohesive.
Once that foundation was established, I carried it across the Night Balm, Lip Balm, face wash, and serum. The result was a packaging system that made a growing collection feel organized and intentional while giving customers an easier way to understand and navigate the products.
